As a child, I remember Sandy coming to stay with our family in London (parents Len and Mary, siblings Alan and Catherine) while he was taking part in a CND march. Although we children had little idea what that meant., Sandy's enthusiasm and love of life were infectious. I also have vivid memories of meeting our Scottish relatives at Uncle John and Aunt Susie's hut in Wemyss Bay (and less comforting memories of the midges which flocked round the paraffin lamp! ) Many years later it was a delight to see Sandy and Kay, as well as lovely Lorna, at the Porter family reunion. Sad to lose these treasured cousins, however rarely we had the chance to meet up. Love to all.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
